Sunday Cafe

San Pedro

Affordable and cheerful and consistent in their quality of food and service.

Ambiance and Decor: Sunday is a cosy Café / Bar that makes all customers feel very welcome. The décor is pleasant and the chairs are comfortable. There is an ample outdoor terrace from where to watch the world go by and a simple, but comprehensive menu. The venue very much reflects the personality of the co-owner who runs it, Kath: cute and unpretentious. The kitchen closes at 11pm but the bar stays open until 2 am and is a firm favourite with the locals, particularly for those partial to Guinness. The location is also ideal to use as a base to enjoy local ferias and festivities. Food Experience: The menu includes breakfast options such as the typical fry up, pancakes and sandwiches. The food is fresh and homemade, including the cakes. The portions are not overly large but certainly sufficient and good value for money. Favourite classic dishes that bring clients back time after time include their Irish Stew, egg mayo sandwiches, bangers and mash, fish and chips, steak and chips; with a few vegetarian options available. There is also an inexpensive kids menu. Bathrooms and Facilities: The bathrooms are clean and presentable. Parking and Accessibility: Located in San Pedro’s main pedestrian thoroughfare there is usually street parking with parking meters, alternatively there is a car park located directly underneath it, which is not excessively expensive. Staff Friendliness and Service: All the staff is very friendly, again adding to the relaxed ambience and encouraging return business. Special Considerations: They have a large television for sports or to watch any show you would like upon request. On Monday mornings they air Good Morning Spain TV at 10am and also host Age Concern coffee mornings as of 11 am. Pet Friendly Pets welcome and catered to with affection. Zero Hero Venue In support of the community initiative to encourage road safety, Sunday rewards designated drivers with free soft drinks* as part of the Zero Hero campaign.
